Vaas Virtu is an independent firm based in London and providing advisory, appraisal, collection management, logistical services, sales, and purchasing. Working alongside both private collectors and business clients with a wide variety of fine assets including fine art, antiques, contemporary crafts, fine jewellery, diamonds & gemstones, prestige watches, precious metals, rare books & manuscripts, collectables, musical instruments, and fine wines & spirits. Led by dealer and advisor Michael Wormack, Vaas Virtu offers a unique interdisciplinary approach to advisory and management of multi-asset class collections.
MICHAEL WORMACK
DIRECTOR
As a London based advisor, dealer, and curator, Michael Wormack specialises in fine art, contemporary crafts, fine jewellery, and gemstones. With over two decades of experience working with private galleries, institutions, asset lenders, and pawnbrokers, Michael brings unique insights and a creative perspective. Along with an MA in Art Business, Michael holds qualifications in art history, jewellery appraisal, metalwork and jewellery design, retail jewellery, gemmology, and diamonds. A strong advocate for ethical business and lending practices, serving as the NPA London Ambassador for Pawnbroking, Michael appeared as an expert throughout several seasons of the hit Channel 4 documentary series Posh Pawn. Michael is now the founder and director of several businesses in East London continuing his work with a variety of fine assets.
In 2016 Michael established VAAS VIRTU as a platform for his advisory and management work. He continues to work with private clients, businesses, lenders, and pawnbrokers, focusing primarily on advisory, collection management, asset risk assessment, and logistical services. Michael has established a wide network of experts allowing Vaas Virtu to assist with a diverse range of fine assets and services.
Launching FELSTEAD FRAMING in 2017 as a conservation framers and gallery, Michael and his studio team have built a strong reputation for high quality framing, conservation and restoration, and art logistical services. Felstead Framing has worked with a roster of thousands of clients now, both nationally and internationally, including leading galleries, art fairs, artists, businesses, architectural firms, corporate institutions, and hospitality.
In 2022, Michael launched FELSTEAD ART and the EAST LONDON ART SOCIETY. Working with emerging to mid-level contemporary British artists, along with leading British and international 20th century printmakers, Felstead Art hosts and curates exhibitions across East London and the City of London. The East London Art Society was then developed to support and represent artists in East London. The Art Society has now grown into a collective of over 80 artists, supporting them with a range of events, career advisory & development, and art logistical services.
